Laboratory in the USA

Dr. Alexandre G. LELLOUCH is currently a Plastic Surgeon in Paris and Lecturer at MGH/Harvard. He has an experience of more than 7 years in the laboratory (including 2 yearsspent in mobility in the USA, the rest part-time).  

His research is in the field of composite tissue allotransplantation (CTA). CTA is the only surgery that can anatomically restore severely injured and disfigured patients. The main problem with this surgery is the immunosuppressive treatment tocontrol immune rejection.

To date, we know that the long-term prognosis is compromised due to the inevitable development of chronic rejection and the lack of available treatment. To overcome this problem, Dr. Alexandre G. LELLOUCH is actively collaborating with Drs. Basak UYGUN, Korkut UYGUN, Dr. Gilles BENICHOU and Dr. Curtis CETRULO on different decellularization technologies, perfusion machines and immune tolerance induction protocols.
